By using specialized equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, the Inventory Control Specialist must complete material movement tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Match sales requests with the appropriate vending and cold drink dispensing machines.
- Protective wrapping should be employed as required and the correct documentation (STO) attached to confirm the safety and security of all outbound loads.
- In adherence to CCCI's established protocols, aid in the transfer of goods onto and off of trailers in support of delivery operations. Maintain accountability by accurately updating SAP and CONA via handhelds and monitoring inbound and outbound loads for the territories serviced by the Regional Operation Center.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness by completing all necessary pre- and post-trip inspections, double-checking daily documentation for precision, and maintaining an orderly and uncluttered working environment.
- Carry out diverse tasks as assigned, including handling equipment placement and transport, as well as performing upkeep tasks on the outdoor space.
- Use a switching system to move pup and 53' trailers to the docking location as needed.

- Demonstrated expertise on crucial safety concepts, including effective lifting techniques and the use of personal safety equipment.
- Skilled in the handling of single-wide forklifts, with the ability to operate safely and efficiently in small areas.

- Primary mechanical capacity and rudimentary manipulation of tools.
- Competent in handling several elementary machines simultaneously.
- Following written guidelines or instructions is essential for best practices.
- Record task completion and results using traditional or digital documentation.

- Intermediate math skills.
- A deep understanding of the factors that can increase efficiency.
- Aptitude to assess the process of order construction, enhance the loading workflow, and determine the best path for pick and load.

- The capacity to accurately count incoming merchandise and to compare it with the manifest on a regular basis is of utmost importance.
- Maintaining a high degree of accuracy while loading trucks according to documentation.

- Infrequently, one may need to lift weights that exceed the standard 25-pound maximum, although this is not a regular occurrence.

- The manipulation of truck dock entrances and exits by opening and closing doors is an integral part of warehouse operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certification for forklift and pallet jack operation includes both theoretical and practical training to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Switcher operation certification.
- A Class A CDL is a requirement in some circumstances.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Past exposure to the logistics industry.
- Knowledge of truck and trailer loading techniques and principles of weight distribution is essential for safe and efficient transportation of cargo.
Work Environment:
- A setup where temperatures fluctuate between both high and low levels, and noise levels are high, making it a non-temperature-controlled and noisy environment.
