Job Overview:
The Material Handler is responsible for performing warehouse system activities to ensure accurate accounting of inbound and outbound warehouse goods including finished goods, raw materials, and deposit Items. This position also assists in managing the flow of inbound and outbound warehouse goods to ensure maximum efficiency, while ensuring proper resource allocation and adequate dock management is maintained. The Clerk is responsible for the meticulous completion of all required logs, records, reports, and maintaining communication with warehouse management, other departments, and business partners.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The seamless movement of goods and inventory in a warehouse is made possible through the use of warehouse systems, designed to handle inbound and outbound loads like purchase orders, customer shipments, and deposit loads
- A crucial aspect of effective warehouse management is the timely review, modification, and finalization of reports that pertain to inbound/outbound logistics, dock maintenance, product availability, and yard upkeep
- Communicates with warehouse management, stakeholders, and other business partners to optimize the efficiency of operations, ensure the accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments, monitor appointment schedules, and allocate resources effectively
- Adapts to changing reporting requirements and guidelines, ensuring that all logs and reports are updated as necessary to reflect any new regulations or requirements
- To achieve a tidy and secure warehouse and work area, it is necessary to comply with management's requests and undertake other duties, such as pallet construction
- Assigned tasks may extend beyond regular job duties
An individual's aptitude, competencies and talent in a particular field, culminate to form their knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Proficiency in warehouse processes and systems, combined with basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and SharePoint, are a necessity in order to work effectively in the logistics industry
- Capability of working effectively in a high-speed environment while simultaneously carrying and lifting loads of 30 pounds repeatedly
- The competency to lift and transport weight of up to 75 pounds
- The proficiency to operate within a team environment is a pivotal competency for professional success
- Successful warehouse operations rely on the ability to expertly manage and organize various tasks and operations within the facility
- Being versatile and adaptive to diverse job functions, ensuring that minimum expectations are met in each role

Minimum Qualifications:

- During the first 30 days of employment, employees may obtain a certification for operating a Pallet Jack, which falls under the category of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
