Candidates who are selected for this position can expect to be paid between $18.00 and $19.38 per hour, depending on their experience and qualifications

Job Overview:

A typical work week is from Monday to Friday with the potential for overtime or weekend work when needed

Hours:

6:00am-2:30pm

As a key player in material movement operations, the Fulfillment Center Associate skillfully uses forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload assets throughout the facility and surrounding grounds.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Choose the most suitable vending and cold drink dispensing systems to fulfill sales requests.
  • To guarantee the safety and security of outbound loads, it's necessary to use protective wrapping as needed and attach the proper documentation (STO).
  • According to CCCI's SOPs, aid in loading and unloading trailers to support delivery activities. Keep track of inbound and outbound loads, ensuring accuracy by updating SAP and CONA via handhelds. This maintains accountability for the territories serviced by the Regional Operation Center.
  • Safeguard against accidents and promote organization by undertaking crucial safety and housekeeping activities, including pre- and post-trip inspections, verifying daily records, and maintaining a clean and unobstructed work area.
  • Help with different responsibilities as needed, such as handling equipment placement and assisting with outdoor upkeep, including debris removal and maintaining an orderly appearance.
  • Employ the use of a switch maneuver to move both 53' and pup trailers to the dock area as needed.

  • Exceptional knowledge of basic safety principles, including the proper technique of lifting and the adoption of personal protective equipment.
  • Equipped with advanced forklift skills, able to confidently navigate single-wide forklifts in confined areas with precision and care.
  • Basic pallet-jack skills.
  • Primary mechanical capacity and rudimentary manipulation of tools.
  • Skilled at multitasking by operating multiple unsophisticated machines.
  • Compliance with written SOPs or instructions is an essential part of any operation.
  • Capture information and findings through both written and electronic documentation.
  • Follow verbal instructions.
  • Intermediate math skills.
  • A broad understanding of the factors that contribute to increased productivity.
  • The capability to assess the construction of orders, enhance the loading workflow, and select the most efficient path for pick and load.
  • The aptitude to manage various tasks concurrently is crucial for supporting optimal system efficiency.
  • Being able to reliably count received merchandise and compare it with the manifest in a detailed manner is a key aspect of fulfilling the role.
  • Loading trucks with remarkable precision and consistent adherence to documentation guidelines.
  • Shows impressive competence in communicating with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • This job entails the ability to perform in harsh temperature conditions, amidst high levels of noise, on treacherous walking surfaces, and around broken glass.
  • It is not unusual for weightlifting that exceeds 25 pounds to occur on occasion, but it is not a typical part of the job.
  • Surviving through long stretches of being seated without experiencing discomfort or exhaustion.
  • Repetitive ingress and egress from a forklift.
  • Truck dock doors need to be opened and closed according to necessary standards to maintain safety and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certification for forklift and pallet jack operation is a small investment that can lead to significant benefits for both workers and employers.
  • Switcher operation certification.
  • Obtaining a Class A commercial driver's license is mandatory in some cases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior exposure to logistics coordination.
  • Regular maintenance of the truck and trailer, including tire inflation, suspension and brake checks, and alignment, can ensure optimal performance and reduce the risks of accidents caused by equipment failures.

Work Environment:

  • A non-regulated temperature environment marked by high sound levels, where temperatures fluctuate between both high and low degrees.
