As a key player in material movement operations, the Inventory Associate skillfully uses forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload assets throughout the facility and surrounding grounds.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Opt for vending and cold drink dispensing machines that are ideal for meeting the sales needs.
- Ensuring that outbound loads are protected and secure can be achieved by using protective wrapping as required and affixing the necessary paperwork (STO).
- To assist with delivery operations as per CCCI's SOPs, participate in the loading and unloading of trailers. Keep track of inbound and outbound loads, ensuring accuracy by updating SAP and CONA via handhelds. This maintains accountability for the territories that are serviced by the Regional Operation Center.
- Keep the workplace hazard-free and neat by performing various safety and housekeeping tasks, such as pre- and post-trip checks, reviewing daily documentation, and maintaining a clutter-free environment.
- Help with miscellaneous activities as required, for example, relocating equipment, discarding old or unwanted equipment, and maintaining the yard.
- Utilize a switching machine to transport 53' and pup trailers to the dock as necessary.

- Thorough knowledge of essential safety practices, such as correct lifting postures and the use of protective clothing.

- Capability to function in both extremely high and low temperatures, amidst deafening noise, on greasy walking surfaces, and broken glass is essential.
- There may be instances where one may have to lift weights over the 25-pound limit, but this situation is infrequent.
- Persistence in maintaining a seated posture for a considerable amount of time.
- Repeated hopping on and off of a forklift.
- It is necessary to manage the truck dock entrances and exits by opening and closing the doors appropriately.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Employers are legally required to ensure their workers have the necessary certification and training for forklift and pallet jack operation.
- Switcher operation certification.
- It could be necessary to have a Class A CDL in certain situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous engagements in logistics operations.
- A balanced weight distribution, with the heaviest items placed in the center and evenly distributed throughout the trailer, reduces the risks of overloading and ensures proper handling.
Work Environment:
- A setting devoid of temperature control and filled with noise, where temperatures range from excessive heat to extreme coldness.
