Coke Florida is looking for individuals who want to work on a part-time basis as Merchandise Representatives to cover the market of Clewiston and Belle Glade in the Palm Beach, FL area.

The requested work schedule is from 1:00PM to 6:00PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with one day during the week that can be flexible.

Our part-time Sales Merchandisers are integral members of our team, responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers. As a Merchandiser, you will work directly with customers to maintain strong relationships and deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain company guidelines by creating and sustaining product displays and equipment placements in full compliance with regulations.
  • Keep a tab on the inventory of drinks, making sure it is maintained at the right levels at all accounts. Allocate shelves wisely and offer cooling equipment where needed.
  • Keep a close eye on the inventory levels at the back-end and handle the trade breakage situation tactfully in the allocated accounts.
  • Regular and clear communication is key to meeting the diverse needs of customers in a timely manner.
  • Foster and maintain a professional and congenial relationship with team members, customers, and clients.
  • Manage inventory levels, business resources and sales points, ensuring the account follows the company's merchandising procedures. Display and rotate products accurately in accordance with guidelines.
  • Conduct store surveys.
  • Share any critical information on account movements, such as machinery repair requirements, with the relevant parties, to avoid any delays or disruptions in operations.
  • It is important to adhere to merchandising standards and rotate products in designated accounts to avoid any inconsistency.
  • Arrange the backroom inventory in an orderly fashion for efficient access.
  • Uphold a clean and organized workspace by regularly sanitizing and maintaining all equipment, sales floor, and shelves.
  • Control the distribution of marketing materials through the adjustment, repositioning, and conservation of point-of-sale advertising to meet account demands.
  • Regularly attend and arrive on time for all commitments.
  • Extend your work schedule when necessary.
  • Obey the regulations, laws, and established guidelines of the organization without exception.
  • Any unsafe working condition should be reported immediately to reduce the risk of accidents.
  • Abide by the rules of dress or maintain the required standards of grooming and presentation.
  • Abide by the predetermined work shifts and schedules that were given to you.

Requirements:

  • Having either a high school diploma or GED is an absolute requirement.
  • The ideal candidate would possess a university degree, but those with an associate degree or who have completed a 1-2 year college program are also considered.
  • You must be at least eighteen years old to join in the activity.
  • meeting the eligibility standards to work in the United States is mandatory for employment.
  • Maintaining a personal vehicle for use during work hours is a job requirement.
  • A year or more of previous experience in sales or merchandising is highly favoured.
  • Showing a dedication to detail and follow-up is key to building trust and reliability with colleagues and clients alike.
  • Exceptional skills in organizing and planning.
  • Competence in handling and understanding mobile applications.
  • Competent in operating computer applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • The ability to use a pallet jack or lift products manually or with power is a critical requirement, and obtaining the necessary certification is mandatory.
  • Workers are required to own and keep up a personal car for use while fulfilling their job duties.
  • The individual must possess and sustain a legitimate driver's license.
  • The possession and maintenance of current vehicle liability insurance are mandated according to company policy.
  • To meet eligibility criteria, a person must have a driving record that is devoid of major moving violations in the previous three-year time frame.

Reckless driving, driving under the influence, and leaving the accident spot are instances considered major driving offenses, while driving too close to another car, speeding, failing to stop, and making improper lane changes are cases of minor driving violations. For the Sales Merchandiser role, Coke Florida will be evaluating potential employees' driving records, including their history of minor driving violations to ensure that they comply with its guidelines. Minor violations could lead to disqualification if the applicant's driving record reveals a pattern of unsafe driving habits.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Being able to frequently handle and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds alone.
  • In order to perform this job, one must be physically capable of repetitively pushing and pulling 50 pound objects without help, while frequently bending the knees and performing actions such as squatting, kneeling, reaching at the waist, above the head, and below the knees.
  • To move manual transport equipment frequently for a distance of at least 100 yards while carrying product loads, such as handtrucks and pallet jacks, one must possess the physical ability to push and pull it repeatedly.
  • Proficiency to securely grip and operate things of varying masses and sizes, which mandate delicate motor skills and the coordination of hand-eye movements.
  • The aptitude to endure physical strain over lengthy periods to achieve job objectives.
  • In today's digital age, being able to comprehend tiny, medium, and large font sizes is of utmost importance.
  • The ability to remain standing for no less than 6 hours per day is a prerequisite for this position.
  • Minimum expectation of covering 4 miles by foot every workday.
  • Frequently operate in a warm and moist environment outside.
