Other Compensation Information

• Associates who work late shifts can expect an increase in their earnings due to a $.75 per hour night differential. For those whose shifts fall between midnight and 3:00 am, they will receive this additional pay on top of their regular wages.
• Premium Weekend Pay: Employees who work on the weekends are entitled to an hourly premium of $2.00 for all hours worked between Saturday at 12:00 a.m. and Sunday at 11:59 p.m.

Year End Bonus

To show gratitude to its workforce for their dedication, Publix distributes a Holiday Bonus every November.

Publix will reward newly hired associates who join the company before July 1 with a bonus totaling 8 hours of pay.

The company has a policy that associates hired after July 1 will not receive a bonus in their first year. If they are still employed when the bonus check is issued in subsequent years, they may receive a bonus equivalent to 8 hours of pay.

Required Qualifications

• be at least 18 years old
• be able to work nights
• be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
• obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations (on or before his or her start date in the position)
• be able to lift a minimum of 67 pounds
• be able to bend, stoop, and twist
• be able to stand for long periods of time
• be able to operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of his or her body exposed outside of the operator compartment
• successfully complete the following tests (before his or her start date in the position)

• be able to read, write, and solve math problems
• be able to interpret, understand, follow, and communicate instructions
