The Distribution Center Stocker must possess the ability to skillfully operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in carrying out material movement duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Match sales requests with the appropriate vending and cold drink dispensing machines.
- To ensure that all outbound loads are secure and safe, it's important to use protective wrapping as needed and attach the appropriate documentation (STO).
- Provide assistance in loading and unloading trailers in compliance with CCCI SOPs to support delivery operations. Use handhelds to update SAP and CONA, keeping track of inbound and outbound loads to maintain accuracy and accountability for the territories served by the Regional Operation Center.
- Keep the workplace hazard-free and neat by performing various safety and housekeeping tasks, such as pre- and post-trip checks, reviewing daily documentation, and maintaining a clutter-free environment.
- Participate in various duties as directed, such as staging equipment and managing yard work, such as removing clutter and maintaining a neat appearance.
- Employ a switch yard to maneuver both 53' and pup trailers to the loading dock as required.
Skilled individuals possess the ability to apply their knowledge to practical tasks or to carry out a particular set of actions with a high level of proficiency
- Thorough knowledge of essential safety practices, such as correct lifting postures and the use of protective clothing.
- Possess expert-level forklift skills required to operate single-wide forklifts with finesse and accuracy.
- Basic pallet-jack skills.
- Primary mechanical skills and straightforward manipulation of tools.
- Skilled in operating a range of unsophisticated devices.
- Written guidelines or instructions must be followed carefully.
- Record data and accomplishments using paper or computer formats.

- Consistently achieving accurate loading of trucks while following documentation requirements.
- Possesses exceptional ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
- The role demands adaptability to work efficiently in searing temperatures, noisy atmospheres, treacherous walking paths, and potentially dangerous broken glass.
- On occasion, it may be necessary to lift weights that are heavier than 25 pounds, albeit this arises rarely.
- The aptitude to endure prolonged sitting periods.
- Repeated hopping on and off of a forklift.
- The opening and closing of truck dock doors play an essential role in the unloading and loading process.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Lack of forklift and pallet jack certification can lead to accidents, injuries, and even fatalities.
- Switcher operation certification.
- A Class A CDL may be necessary for the job.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Former work background in logistics.
- A balanced weight distribution, with the heaviest items placed in the center and evenly distributed throughout the trailer, reduces the risks of overloading and ensures proper handling.
Work Environment:
- A space that is characterized by a lack of temperature control that encompasses both loud and quiet environments, where temperatures fluctuate between extremes of hot and cold.
