The operation of powered industrial equipment is performed by Logistics Forklift Operators to transfer cases and pallets and place them in their designated slots within the warehouse.

The transfer of goods from the receiving docks to reserve areas is done by personnel responsible for product movement.

Moreover, the Logistics Forklift Operator play a crucial role in maintaining the warehouse's cleanliness by sweeping out empty slots. They are also adaptable enough to cover other positions within the warehouse, including the Warehouse Selectors, depending on business needs.

The work atmosphere in the Department of Boxed Meat/Dairy Warehouse can vary from 28 to 35 °F for a prolonged duration of time.

The Produce Warehouse entails working in a moist environment for extended hours; the temperature range could vary from 35° to 55° Fahrenheit.

The Frozen Food Warehouse experiences a prolonged duration of temperatures, which could fluctuate between 20 degrees below zero and zero degrees.

The ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions for a prolonged duration is necessary for the job at the return center.

One must be capable of enduring extended stretches of time in diverse weather conditions in order to maintain the fleet.

Other Compensation Information

• Based on experience or relevant skills, an initial pay of $1.00 to $2.00 higher than the minimum pay range is offered
• Associates who are scheduled to work any time between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM are eligible for a night differential of $.75 per hour, provided that their shifts do not end at midnight or begin at 3:00 AM.
• Employees who are regularly assigned to work in the Frozen Food freezer area are entitled to receive an additional $.50 per hour known as the freezer differential.
• Associates are entitled to a weekend differential of $2.00 per hour for the time worked during the weekend, which starts from 12:00 a.m. Saturday until 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

Year End Bonus

Publix acknowledges the hard work of associates throughout the calendar year by issuing a Holiday Bonus in November as a form of reward.

During the first year of steady work, the bonus corresponds to 15 hours of payment, and during the second year of constant employment, the bonus adds up to one week's salary, provided that the staff member continues working until the bonus payment date.

The bonus amount in following years is equivalent to a payment received for two weeks of work.

• ability to lift a minimum of 67 pounds (85 pounds in Boxed Meat/Dairy Warehouse)

• ability to operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of his or her body exposed outside of the operator compartment
• ability to stack product of varying weights
• ability to work under strict time requirements
• ability to read, write, and identify and verify numbers
• ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
