Job Overview:
In their capacity as the Inventory Technician, individuals must undertake several warehouse system activities to ensure precise and accurate tracking of inbound and outbound goods. Finished goods, raw materials, and deposit items are all meticulously documented by the Clerk, who must also oversee the optimal flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. In addition, the Clerk must communicate effectively with warehouse management, other departments, and business partners to ensure the smooth management of warehouse activities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The utilization of warehouse systems can greatly enhance inventory management efforts, making it easier to track and organize stock movements in a warehouse
- Accurate and timely warehouse scheduling, along with efficient dock management, ensures that products are available for distribution at the right time. Reports that address these requirements, modified, reviewed and finalized can be an invaluable tool
- Liaises with warehouse management, other departments, and external partners to streamline operations, ensure the integrity of inbound and outbound shipments, manage appointment bookings, and allocate resources efficiently
- Ensures that all hard copy documents are stored securely and confidentially, adhering to all relevant data protection regulations and guidelines
- In an effort to maintain a safe and hygienic environment in the warehouse and workplace, it is imperative to undertake the construction of pallets, as well as any other tasks instructed by management
- Could be asked to assume additional responsibilities
A person's knowledge, skills, and abilities can be nurtured and honed through education, training, and experience in a particular area of study or profession
- Having a basic grasp of warehouse procedures and systems, as well as the ability to use basic PC applications such as Microsoft Office and SharePoint, is vital for anyone working with logistics
- Capability of working effectively in a quick-paced environment whilst repeatedly raising and walking with items of up to 30 lbs
- Capable of hoisting objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- The proficiency to work collaboratively with others is an indispensable skill for attaining organizational goals
- The success of any warehouse largely depends on the ability to skillfully coordinate and organize its operations
- Possessing the capability to adjust to different job demands while meeting each task's basic requirements
- Deciphering computer screen instructions with ease
- Sharp attention to detail is a must-have skill when it comes to distinguishing between our packages
- Competence to work efficiently in an environment that is not acoustically pleasant and lacks climate regulation (high temperatures during summers and low temperatures during winters)

Minimum Qualifications:
- Despite the different pathways towards obtaining a diploma or GED, both hold equal weight in terms of academic achievement and accomplishment
- The insight gained from one to three years of practical work experience
- Within the first four weeks of starting a new job, employees can receive a certification for operating a Pallet Jack, which falls under the category of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
