The General Production Worker is responsible for material movement throughout the facility and grounds, and must be adept at operating forklifts and pallet jacks in order to do so.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify and provide the proper vending and cold drink equipment to satisfy the sales requirements.
- By applying protective wrapping and attaching the proper documentation (STO), the safety and security of outbound loads can be made certain.
- Support CCCI's delivery operations by participating in the loading and unloading of trailers in accordance with SOPs. Keep track of inbound and outbound loads and update SAP and CONA via handhelds to maintain accuracy and accountability for the territories serviced by the Regional Operation Center.
- Maintain a secure and orderly work area by performing essential safety and housekeeping activities, including pre- and post-trip inspections, reviewing daily logs, and keeping the workspace clean and hazard-free.
- Execute multiple tasks based on instructions, like assisting with equipment movement, junking, and ensuring the yard is well-maintained.
- Employ a switch yard to maneuver both 53' and pup trailers to the loading dock as required.

- Sound familiarity with primary safety concepts, such as correct lifting methods and the employment of appropriate protective equipment.
- Experienced in safely maneuvering forklifts within limited spaces to optimize productivity and performance.
- Basic pallet-jack skills.
- Rudimentary aptitude for machinery and facile handling of tools.
- Adept at efficiently using various uncomplicated machinery.
- It is imperative to read and adhere to written SOPs and instructions.
- Use written or computerized forms to log activities and outcomes.

- Capacity to evaluate the order assembly process, improve the loading workflow, and identify the optimal path for pick and load.

- Demonstrating proficiency in loading trucks with remarkable precision and adherence to documentation.

- Suitable candidates must possess the skill to work in a variety of challenging environments, such as high and low temperatures, noise pollution, slippery floors, and shattered glass.
- There may be instances where one may have to lift weights over the 25-pound limit, but this situation is infrequent.

- Properly manipulating truck dock doors is crucial for efficient and safe transportation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Many training programs offer forklift and pallet jack certification to improve workplace safety and meet industry standards.
- Switcher operation certification.
- It could be necessary to have a Class A CDL in certain situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous encounters in logistics management.
- An improperly loaded truck can cause damage to the truck's suspension, brakes, and tires, leading to reduced lifespan and costly repairs.
Work Environment:
- A setting devoid of temperature control and filled with noise, where temperatures range from excessive heat to extreme coldness.
