The Distribution Center Associate is responsible for completing material movement tasks, which involve the use of equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, with expertise and precision.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handpick the right vending and cold drink equipment to meet the sales needs.
- Protective wrapping should be employed as required and the correct documentation (STO) attached to confirm the safety and security of all outbound loads.
- To support CCCI's delivery activities, assist in the loading and unloading of trailers while adhering to SOPs. Keep track of inbound and outbound loads and maintain accuracy by using handhelds to update SAP and CONA. This ensures accountability for the territories serviced by the Regional Operation Center.
- Prioritize safety and organization by carrying out all essential pre- and post-trip examinations, verifying the accuracy of daily reports, and keeping the working area clean and well-maintained.
- Help with miscellaneous activities as required, for example, relocating equipment, discarding old or unwanted equipment, and maintaining the yard.
- Use a switching system to move pup and 53' trailers to the docking location as needed.

- Proficient understanding of essential safety principles, including proper lifting methods and the adoption of personal safety clothing.

- Sometimes, the job may entail a degree of lifting that goes beyond the usual 25-pound maximum, but these occasions are few and far between.
- Persistence in maintaining a seated posture for a considerable amount of time.
- Regular movements on and off a forklift.
- Properly manipulating truck dock doors is crucial for efficient and safe transportation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Forklift and pallet jack certification involves training and evaluation to help workers operate these equipment safely and efficiently.
- Switcher operation certification.
- In certain cases, a Class A CDL is compulsory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in the logistics sector.
- Loading heavy items on the front of the trailer can cause the truck to lift off the front wheels, resulting in steering issues and an increased risk of rollover.
